Through artistic implementation, Isabel Roos creates in her project series “Metamorph” rocky pictorial worlds. On the one hand, these appear abstract and static, but on the other hand they also contain concrete elements, movement and urge.

The project “Metamorph” is inspired by the phenomenon of changing rocks and rock metamorphosis. Stones are symbols of the past and the future at the same time. They outlast time, are silent witnesses of variations through times and often seem like an imperturbable, stoic, motionless object. Nevertheless they, too, can undergo a transformation.

The project series includes a series of paintings in oil on canvas or oil and acrylic on canvas, as well as digital artworks realized as large Giclée prints on real handmade paper.
